 I was in special education classes until I reached 8th grade. I attended P.S 112 in Queens in mainstream classes in high school and graduated in 2011 with my regent's diploma. I continued my education and attended Nassau Community College and got my associates degree in Liberal Arts. and Human services in 2014. I later earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology from Hofstra University in 2017. I received special accommodations throughout my college experience including an aide t take notes for me. I am interested in obtaining employment and in being an advocate for individuals with disabilities. As a counselor, I can create an environment where people are not afraid to talk about religion or social problems. I plan to have open discussions with my clients, by asking open-ended questions such as “Why do you think you are here today?” and “What makes you unique?”. When you love someone, your love will mirror that loyalty into the kind of respect you have for yourself and that you will share with that special person of yours.
