My goal

Sarah Elgohary is a passionate writer eager to contribute to Noor Magazine and a dedicated advocate for social justice, focusing on pressing issues such as the ongoing crises in Palestine, Syria, and Sudan. She is inspired by the title of your website, ICNA Council Advocacy and Justice for All, as it reflects her beliefs in justice and advocacy for everyone. Sarah is deeply committed to empowering individuals to find and express their own voices.

Through her blog, she amplifies the voices of marginalized communities, including refugees and individuals with disabilities. She educates her audience on important topics such as educational inequality, gender bias, media representation, and other relevant issues. Sarah seeks a position within an organization where she can apply her computer and communication skills to benefit both the community and her colleagues. Her strong attention to detail enables her to complete projects within reasonable timeframes. She also holds certifications in child abuse and sexual harassment prevention in mental health.

Sarah has found inspiration in your work, particularly the article "Let Gaza Live." She is passionate about advocating for Palestine and for those without a voice in society. After exploring your website, she became very interested in joining ICNA Social Justice and has written extensively about Islamophobia on her blog.

In her own words, "No one should die from hunger." She resonates with Martin Luther King Jr.'s sentiment that "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly."

Sarah's personal journey is also significant; she has cerebral palsy, which provides her with a unique perspective and empathy for individuals with disabilities who need representation, including refugees and orphans. Her goal is to secure a position that allows her to advocate for others and help people gain confidence in their identities.

**Summary**

Sarah is a hardworking writer and organized advocate with strong communication skills. She is passionate about raising awareness of important issues and understands that many people may not realize that in Islam, saving one person is equivalent to saving all of humanity. She feels frustrated by domestic homelessness and the actions of ICE against individuals and families. "This country was built on the backs of immigrants," she states. Sarah believes that Islam teaches us to appreciate our differences, emphasizing that the Prophet Muhammad taught that no one is superior to another based on color or race, except for those who excel in their actions.

Education is another passion of hers; she believes that everyone deserves access to knowledge. Sarah is concerned about the abuses within the American prison system and would love to volunteer and meet with affected individuals. She is eager to engage in advocacy and publish her writings while seeking opportunities to become generally involved. If someone can reach out to her, she would greatly appreciate it. Allah has given her a voice, and she is determined to use it to help others.
