I am a good worker

### Introduction

My name is Sarah Elgohary, and I am a passionate writer and dedicated advocate for social justice. On my blog, I focus on pressing social issues, particularly the ongoing crises in Palestine, Syria, and Sudan. I find inspiration in the power of words and the importance of giving a voice to those who are often unheard in society.

### Reason for Reaching Out

I recently visited your website and was very interested in joining ICNA Social Justice. I have written several pieces on Islamophobia on my blog, and I was particularly moved by your article about Palestinians and refugees. I strongly believe that no one should suffer from hunger, and I appreciate your focus on such critical issues.

Your website, ICNA Concl: Advocacy and Justice for All, resonated with me deeply. I hold the belief that “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” This quote by Martin Luther King Jr. perfectly encapsulates my belief in our interconnectedness and the importance of collective advocacy.

### Personal Motivation

I have cerebral palsy, which shapes my perspective and drives my advocacy work. My goal is to secure a position that allows me to promote social justice and help others. By transforming my own experiences into a source of empowerment, I aim to advocate for those who lack a voice in society. My physical disability provides me with a unique perspective and empathy for individuals facing challenges, such as refugees and orphans.

### Summary of Skills

I am a hardworking writer and organized advocate with strong communication skills. I passionately raise awareness for social justice and support underrepresented groups by addressing issues related to education and inequality. As a skilled problem solver and self-advocate, I effectively and positively convey ideas. My creative writing abilities enable me to advocate for social justice through emails, memos, case notes, and other documents.

Currently, my blog amplifies the voices of marginalized communities, including refugees and individuals with disabilities. Through my posts, I educate my audience about important topics such as education, inequality, gender bias, media representation, and other relevant issues. I am seeking a position in an organization where I can leverage my computer and communication skills for the benefit of both the community and my colleagues. With strong attention to detail, I complete projects within reasonable timeframes. Additionally, my certifications in child abuse and sexual harassment prevention for mental health professionals make me a valuable asset to any organization. I am eager to contribute to a workplace focused on public assistance and teamwork.

### Closing

Assalaamu Alaykum, Brother Kaleem. I hope you are doing well. I would love the opportunity to work with the ICNA Social Justice department, as I am deeply passionate about writing and advocacy.

I am acutely aware that many people don’t realize that in Islam, saving one life is akin to saving all of humanity. I feel enraged about the injustices faced by individuals due to the actions of ICE and the broader issues of homelessness in our society. This country was built on the contributions of immigrants, and Islam teaches us the blessings that come from our diversity. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasized that no one is superior to another based on color or race, but rather by actions.

Furthermore, I am passionate about education because everyone deserves access to knowledge. The prison system in America is fraught with abuse, and I would love to volunteer and meet with individuals affected by these pressing issues. I am also eager to publish my writings and become more involved in advocacy work. If someone could contact me regarding opportunities, I would greatly appreciate it. Allah has given me a voice, and I wish to use it to help others.
