Women's and social media
I keep hearing a lot on social media that we need to teach women the importance of being a wife and mother so her focus is not on career or earning money.
I truly believe, it's not only the women but more so men that we need to teach that to.
The thoughts and beliefs that lead women into career mindset are along the lines of "for worst day I need it", "I don't have to beg anyone for money," "I feel respected," "I am valued at work" etc etc.
Our brothers need to truly self reflect. It's not a debate here. It is simply for everyone to self reflect upon.
The women who choose to stay at home and prioritize their home and children:
- are they assured they'll be taken care of even on the worst day by their men? (even if u die, have u planned well for her after u r gone? What is it going to look like for her if u divorce her?)
- do these women get reasonable amount of freedom over the money their men make OR are they frequently reminded it's the man's money and he can do whatever he likes but she must get his permission for every penny she spends?
- do their men appreciate their role in the family and highlight how family wouldn't work without their presence? Or do their men consistently show them that they are replaceable and don't hold value more than a servant, childcare and sex slave?
- do their men make intentional effort to show them their value as a mom or wife who chooses to prioritize family over anything else?
I loved what my mother recently said to me... "Women going out of their homes and getting in this money race was all done by men."
I don't think it's just women who need to learn the importance of a wife and mother who chooses family over everything else, I think it's the society as a whole that needs to truly put those women on pedestal. Not on social media, but in their homes. Not once in a lifetime award, but a lifestyle of honor and dignity. Show the daughters through treating their mothers in a manner that they desire to be home makers. Show women around you how a woman is treated when she is a home maker so they choose that lifestyle.
Show a woman she'll be treated like a Queen she is meant to be in Islam, she is never gonna choose to be slave of money or companies.
Men and women grow together as an Ummah. It's not an attack, it's simply something to self reflect upon.
