I have experience writing case notes, creating resume and cover letters, and was an asset with career assessments when I worked at Abilities, Inc. I am a hard-working, passionate patient person who works well with diverse teams. As a counselor, I would have a unique sense of empathy for people who do not have a voice in society. I want to help people learn to advocate for themselves and develop their own voice. I strongly believe that "Your voice is the most useful tool you have" and it is important to listen and see each other’s perspectives. I realized that I was never going to stand idly by and do nothing when people are in trouble. This experience taught me that I have the power to advocate for myself and others. This was a realization for me because when I learned to advocate for myself, I was able to communicate my needs without worrying about whether others would advocate for me and understand what I truly ny
