If Multiculturalism is the view that cultural differences should be respected or even encouraged in society. The fundamental principle to multiculturalism is the belief that people of different cultures can live peacefully alongside each other, and assimilation is not necessary, or even wanted for people to live in other countries. The opposite of multiculturalism is the "melting pot" perspective, which means that cultural differences in society, such as differences in religion, language, and other customs, blend Together to form a new whole culture Many aspects of multiculturalism favor people keeping at least some features of their traditional cultures. The United States has often been described as a multicultural nation. Several cultures that act with differences baises and hate when they should instead be sharing the differences and trying to solve problems such as the Syrian Refugee crisis, world hunger, and homelessness in order to spread world peace. After all, we are a country of immigrants so we should embrace our differences not be ashamed of what makes us true and unique. I know I am not, no one should ever be ashamed of who they are or where they come from.
Immigration is defined as the action of a group of people coming to live permanently in a foreign country Immigration is the movement of people into a country to which they are not native in order to settle there, especially as or future citizens Immigrants are motivated to leave their native countries for a variety of reasons, including a desire for economic prosperity, political issues, family reunification, escaping conflict or natural disaster, or simply the wish to change one's surroundings. We are a country of immigrants so why is American culture so intolerance of people who are different. I think many people minds are clouded because they believe that multiculturalism threatens social unity and the dominant American culture. The truth is there is no American culture. Everyone has own culture ideas, perspectives, and beliefs which they spread around the world through communication.
This is why I believe self-advocacy and communication are extremely essential to human life. All people need to convey their perspectives to others all the time. No one s voice is weaker or stronger than others. People need to hear each other voices. Self-advocacy enhance people powerful voices I always wanted to advocate for people because having cerebral palsy makes me realize how important it is to independently convey your own messages and communicate your ideas in a positive light. My experience with cerebral palsy has taught me that only the individual can truly advocate for themselves. As a result, I have learned that even people with the best interests and intentions to help you ( your parents' friends or your support system) can advocate for you. However, they will never be able to fully advocate for you, and convey your message, with the same level of passion, and the importance that you have. Therefore, my disability enhances my desire to teach any individual self-advocacy skills so they never struggle with expressing themselves. As a counselor, I can empower my clients with the ability to stand up for what they believe is right, and fight for justice. People do not realize how powerful a tool an individual's voice is, even if people have no other resources available to them your voice is always a yourmost valuable resource that no one can ever take away from you. As a counselor, I will make my clients utilize their powerful voices. I would like to become a counselor and make a difference in the world. By turning my individual situation of having cerebral palsy, into solutions that can create a path of advocacy for people who do not have a voice in society, I believe I can enable my future clients to be confident in their own identity. Because I have a physical disability, my experience provides me with a unique sense of empathy for those who are disabled and whose opinions may not be heard. However, I intend to not only work with disabled individuals. I also plan to advocate for any individual seeking to discover the power of their own voice, which can be used as a tool enabling them to communicate their messages and experiences to make people aware of their messages and perspective around
the world. I will spread peace and wisdom with
t it today I realized how truly powerful voice is I will never take it for granted again. People really listen when you advocate for yourself in a positive way and respectful Manner even insurance companies My voice will never die. if you folow your heart anything is possible.
