Sherry Turkle and Nickolas Carr each discuss their own unique perspective on their ideas and the impact of technology on civilizations in different ways. For Instance, Sherry Turkle discusses both positive and negative effects of computers in her piece “How Computers Change the Way We Think .“ In this piece, she makes a  compelling  the argument that not only is there “no simple way” to  establish whether the changes in technology are good or bad but,  she also said that after each stride as individuals take we have “to ask educators, citizens. whether  current technology  is leading us in directions that serve us .””
These types of questions are not only technical, but they are also social, moral, and political questions that society has to ask people in order To determine if technology has more benefits than negatives. On the hand, Nickolas Carr believes that the Impact of technology Is only negative unlike Sherry Turkle because his thesis statement is that  the  internet is “ tearing away my”  capacity  for concentration and contemplation “ In other words,  he Is saying  that the  internet is t shortening people’s s attention spans   causing people to think  differently  therefore individuals  become different people.  In my opinion, Sherry Turkle and Nickolas Carr each discuss every negative and positive point to   how technology Influences society.  However, even though there are many negative and positive aspects of technology, I believe, that the purpose of all technology is to improve society as a whole.  Technology is supposed to make it easier for human beings to live, work and perform job tasks, faster more effectively in different ways.  As a result, we are supposed to   make the right choices for technology to make our lives better not worse because in reality, technology does not control us humans control technology.
first of all, the most the important boundary of the Internet is the boundary of (public & private this boundary is very narrow and It is getting smaller each day we still control It   In addition,   Nickolas at the  internet is “ tearing away my”  capacity  for concentration and contemplation “ In other words,  he Is saying  that the  internet is t shortening people’s s attention spans   causing people to think differently, therefore, individuals become different people.    He makes valid points but at the same time I  think his thesis is very generalized to all Americans,  but  that does not mean  that what he is saying  is true for everybody  in society because of the Internet  is used differently by every  individual.   We have control over how we use the internet in my opinion

The most important the boundary of the Internet is the boundary of (public & private this boundary is very narrow and It is getting smaller each day we still control It.   Even though sherry Turkle  sees Avatar of self as both a positive and negative  effect  of   the Internet   I  think the profile that people  put online  should  only show the positive qualities of our personalities  because  people only post things or pictures  on Facebook  or other  social networks that high light only the qualities of our personalities that we want to make open for the world to see.    As a result, people are not forced to put anything online that they do not want to put online.  Therefore WE control what we put online for people to see there is a blur between humans & machines Can authentic identity be expressed online I do not think people can have an authentic identity online because people are not their true selves as a result of seeking approval from others to validate our existence on the Internet so our Participation on social networks: Requires skill set of how to participate..First of all if the Internet is used primarily for   the convenience of people, who cannot or do not want to leave the comfort of their  own home for whatever reason then people cannot   expect to strengthen  the bonds of the  relationships  they have   with other people  just by communicating  online words I believe that people have to meet each other at some point for face to face interaction with others in order to have a real relationship with people, but the Internet is eliminating the need for people to actually see each other anymore in society final reason people use the Internet  is socializing on facebook or other social media  to connect with friends, escape  reality  and people can have  a different  persona online and no one has to know the real you  behind the  scene.   In my      opinion, people have all the control over who they are online   and what they see or do online.

Even  though technology has many negative qualities I  still do not agree with Nickolas Carr’s  belief  of  the  Internet    tearing away people’s capacity  for concentration and contemplation “ In other words,  he Is saying  that the  internet is t shortening people’s s attention spans   causing people to think differently, therefore individuals become different people.     Carr’s philosophy   does not apply to me I still love to read actual books and go to the library.  I do not think that all people in society have shorter  attention  spans just because of the Internet  itself but the fact that some people, not all have become  so lazy to read actual books by hand due to people having access to everything  online.  This causes many people to have a lack of patience, concentration and contemplation to do things with the old-fashioned values of patience, time, dedication, and hard work.  As a result of technology, people have learned to think differently than they would have without technology.  IN my opinion  thinking differently  is not always  a bad thing because  people learn to improve  their ideas and  abilities  when they think differently.
Technology is like a coin which has both positive and negative sides. We are the deciders and we have to choose how to use it. The usage of technology for over-exploitation of resources should be always avoided. If we use it for positive things, it will have a positive effect on our lives and vice versa. Nobody would oppose the development of technologies in any sector but the developments should be in a positive way and they should not have any negative impact on present or future generations. However, even though there are many negative and positive aspects of technology, I believe, that the purpose of all technology is to improve society as a whole.  Technology is supposed to make it easier for human beings to live, work and perform job tasks, faster more effectively in different ways.  As a result, we are supposed to   make the right choices for technology to make our lives better not worse because in reality, technology does not control us, humans, control technology.   the  most  important  the boundary of the Internet is the boundary of (public & private this the boundary is very narrow and It is getting smaller each day we still control It .   In  addition,   Nickolas Carr thesis  that the  internet is “ tearing away my”  capacity  for concentration and contemplation “ In other words,  he Is saying  that the  internet is t shortening people’s s attention spans   causing people to think  differently  therefore individuals  become different people.    He makes valid points but at the same time I  think  We have control over how we use the internet in my opinion.
