Forgot technology

People in our society have become so dependent, and so attached to technology (their devices.   As a result, they have forgotten about traditional values such as the value of time, quality over quantity, patience, and hard work that it takes to fully complete daily tasks and products to sell in society. This dependence on technology today is so bad that to a large extent people especially, the youth of society, and all around the world cannot live without technology,   or even imagine a time where technology or smart phones did not exist.  Why it that people is cannot live without their cell phones, laptops, pods and tablets?  I think it is because of how much smart phones or any other technology, that people have access to broadens their horizons,  opens up more opportunities for individuals to get jobs to make money. This is in order for individuals to be able to move up the social ladder so that they can gain more social status, and have more power in society’s social hierarchy to achieve the American Dream.  Therefore,   I believe that the purpose of all technology is to improve society as a whole.  Technology is supposed to make it easier for human beings to live, work and perform job tasks, faster more effectively in different ways. After all, smart phones are really just very unique versions of minicomputers in the palm of your hand.  This makes me wonder how people communicated with each other, send messages to friends, typed papers and documents before the computers and laptops. The answer to this question is people would type papers and documents on typewriters.
