Hope

Alhsmdulah I love my life  my family and my friends and my blog So independent loving caring and smart allah bless me Helping others through social work is one of my main goals and passions in life because I have always wanted to advocate for people. I have cerebral palsy, which has made me realize the importance of conveying your own ideas and messages independently, in a positive and respectful manner to the world. I discovered I wanted to be a social worker when I was fifteen years old. I used my voice to advocate resolving a family fight between my aunt and uncle that had lasted two hours.  Although I could not physically intervene and resolve the issue, I acted as a moderator and was able to use my voice to convince them to listen to and see each other’s perspectives.  I realized that I was never going to stand idle and do nothing when people are in trouble.  This experience taught me that I have the power to advocate for myself and others. This was a real...

https://creativeprinceness.blogspot.com/2020/06/stop-racism-all-lives-matter.html I love my life I am so blessed with my heart and my deen my amazing friend and my blog and education this dunya is a trip  hope I go to jannah One global issue that I am very passionate about is the longstanding Syrian refugee crisis. I want to advocate for Syrian refugees as well as any group of people who cannot fight for themselves and help individuals discover their inner power and amplify their voices, and experiences to the world. One of my major goals is to provide Syrian refugees with a platform to speak out about their personal experiences and opinions. Immigration laws, along with societal prejudice, make these refugees’ lives very difficult. Immigration and prejudice are “hot topics in every presidential election.I realize that I cannot stop all conflict, but at least as a counselor, I can use my voice to help people gain their voices and provide them the knowledge to be comfortable ...

The savage educational inequalities that needs to be stopped

Sarah Elgohary Professor Chris NIedt Assignment 2 of education inequalities research paper body paragraph  DUE Oct 19  One way that people can understand the differences in school funding as a reason for educational inequality is to examine how the differences in school funding are based on how wealthy or poor the neighborhoods or schools districts are. The book The Savage Inequalities: Children in US Schools” by Johnson Cool, shows people the statistics of the different populations of both rich and poor children in schools. Therefore, Kozol analyzes educational inequalities by comparing the differences between students in the rich and poor schools As a result; he shows us examples of how unequal the education system is. For example, students in the Bronx only have access to old textbooks and worn facilities, with overcrowded classes, dirty bathrooms, and limited access to resources such as tutors and guidance counselors” (Kozol pg 25).In opposition, wealthier communi...

The media’s portrayal of women, specifically in magazines and music videos in regard to body image, effects their own perception of themselves in society

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------  The media’s portrayal of women, specifically in magazines and music videos in regard to body image, effects their own perception of themselves in society Sarah Elgohary Hofstra University 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 There have been many studies on the negative portrayals of women in the media and the relationship between media and women’s body image. The media has portrayed the expectations of women with regard to body image, occupation, and gender roles through the interpretation of music videos, magazines and television.
