The Syrian refugee crisis is a direct consequence of the Syrian Civil War.  No matter what stance you take on the admission of Syrian refugees to the United States, you do not have to be a social scientist or a politician to know that something needs to be done to help Syrian refugees. The solutions to the new social problem of Syrian refugees have to be developed by a worldwide collaboration of countries around the world and the United Nations.  In order to find solutions to the Syrian refugee crisis there is one important obstacle that people in every society need to overcome; this is the obstacle of Islam phobia. Even though, Islam phobia is not the direct cause of the Syrian refugee crisis it is still a strong barrier that is preventing people from coming together as a society to fix this social phenomenon.  After all, this increasing Islam phobia that people have and the irrational belief that all Muslims and Syrian refugees are criminals and terrorists is causing   the entire Republican party and a presidential candidate to willfully  and arrogantly stopping Syrian refugees from coming into the United States. This racist action is simply based on the stereotype that all Muslims are radical extremists  like ISIS a politically motivated organization of radicals who justify killing their own kind. In order to cure Islam phobia, people need to get a new cultural education  on the Muslim religion and learn the differences between the teachings of the Muslim religion “ real Muslims “who practice the peaceful religion of Islam and a large group of politically motivated radical extremists who kill their own kind.  If people could cure their Islamic phobia there would be no reason for people to fear Syrian refugees and stop them from coming to the United States .

There have been many studies on  the political social and economic status of Syrian refugees who  have fled Syria and now they are living in countries such as Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan since the beginning of the Syrian civil war in 2011.  these studies include a study by Susan Bartels and Kathleen Hamil, this study shows that 500,000 refugee children are now living in Lebanon for  more than 10 days in November 2013. (Harvard university 2015). . The researchers reported two main findings in this study. First of all, they discovered the fact  that not only do most Syrian refugees have to decide between sending their children to work in potentially dangerous environments. and trying to survive by making them perform child labor or sending them to school; but even  families who send their children to school have to rely on child labor. This Is because even If Syrian refugees can afford to go to school children have very limited opportunities or resources , if any, access to education is very rare . the second finding is that These constraints deprive children of adequate food, education, health care, and play,  As a result, many Syrian refugee children’s have suffered short- and long-term physical and psychosocial development. (Harvard university 2015).The findings are very important because they show the world from both a humanitarian and a human rights perspective; that the Syrian refugee crisis in Lebanon is intolerable. however on the other hand,  when people look at this crisis with regard to public health standpoint, the survival needs of the Syrian refugee population are approaching devastation These findings show the internal and external struggles that Syrian refugees  face outside of Syria This shows that there are multiple dimensions to the Syrian refugee crisis. this Study proves that Not only are Syrian refugees Not safe in their own Country, but they face numerous challenges that can be worst than the problems   that they face in syria This is why the Syrian refugee crisis Is now a serious global phenomenon  that has not only affected Syria, but the entire world.

Another study conducted In January 2014, by Claude Bruderlein  at Harvard University looked at wider refugee problems caused by the conflict in The study found 4 main   findings .Frist of all, despite the fact that most people believe Syrian refugees live in camps they actually live in urban settings, not camps. In fact, the five most popular host countries (Turkey, Lebanon, Iraq, Egypt and Jordan)where Syrian refugees live , the number of refugees living in non-camp settings is expected to rise from 81% in 2013 to 84% in 2014. Bruderlein 2015 1-4).  The second finding is fact that not only do Syrian refugees prefer to live in urban settings, but The registered refugee population of Jordan’s Za’atari camp declined by almost 40% between April and December 2013, at the same time that Jordan received an additional 100,000 refugees. the third finding is the fact that many Syrian refugees are willing to make significant sacrifices to leave camps. According to a survey by CARE International, more than 50% of participating refugee households living outside Jordanian camps reported incurring debts to smugglers of between 75 and 1,500 Jordanian dinars (roughly $105 to $2,115 U.S.) the last finding is due to the fact there is a limited supply of houses and economic opportunities for Syrian refugees  they are forced to live with many people in unsuitable settlements such as tents, chicken coops, and garages. These overcrowded informal settlements lack basic amenities, such as electricity, heating, and access to water. (Bruderlein 2015 1-4). These findings are similar to the first study and both studies bring me to the same conclusion Even though there has been humanitarian intervention in Syria by the United Nations here is also a clear need for s also a clear need for solutions to deal with the largest refugee crisis in the history of the Middle East, there needs to be innovative programs and policies to address the short- and medium-term needs of refugees and host communities will be essential to the long-term stability of the Middle East.
Even though both candidates both have strong opposing views on whether or not to admit Syrian refugees to the United States neither one of them has a real plan of action on what to do with Syrian refugees when they come to the United States. This is why we need to come together as a society in order to help and find multiple solutions to help solve the Syrian refugee crisis along with helping Syrian refugees who are already here settle to their new lives in the United States.
