 We cannot make people choose us. We can love them but we must give them freedom and space to be themselves, and if being themselves means them parting ways from us then alhamdulillah. It applies to all relationships, not just romantic relationships.

A second global issue that I feel passionate about is Islamophobia. The Syrian refugee crisis is a direct consequence of the Syrian Civil War. No matter what stance your take on the admission of Syrian refugees to the United States, you do not have to be a social scientist or a politician to know that something needs to be done to help Syrian refugees. The solutions to the of the Syrian refugees crisis must to be developed by a worldwide collaboration of countries around the world and with the United Nations. In order to find solutions to the Syrian refugee crisis, Islamophobia must be overcome. Even though Islamophobia is not the direct cause of the Syrian refugee crisis, it is still a strong barrier to fixing this social problem.   Allah is testing me and I am trying to be honest and caring and compassionate and understanding a good person and good Muslim. When you truly matter to someone, that person will always make time for you: no excuses, no lies, and no broken promises. Being an important part of a person's life means a lot of things. When someone matters to you, show them how much they mean to you by respecting them, honoring them, and never taking them, their time, or their feelings for granted. When you really matter to someone, that person will always be willing to make time for you. That person will never use an excuse to avoid being there for you. That person will never consider hurting you or your heart by telling you anything besides the truth and will never risk losing your trust by breaking a promise they made to you.
