True blindness in the heart for some people

Things are not always what they appear to be.  There is a fine line between what things appear to be and what they actually are.  Reality is not always black and white. Each person has his or her own perspective and opinions about what reality appear to be and what reality actually is. Even though a person may be physically blind that does not mean the person cannot see the world around them. In reality a bind person can see more than a person who has sight. People who can   physically see do not really open their eyes to the important things that really matter in life. As a opposed to blind people eyes are open to a more emotional insightful reality that people who have sight cannot see with their eyes open like the subtle things in life. This is shown in the real world and the literary world as well through the obstacles characters face due the blindness that they have suffered from because the appearance and reality of the world. This theme is expressed in Oedip...

For example when a business woman is aggressive on an idea or policy she wants her company to implement, she is considered t...

But in order to understand why society is the way it is, people have to be like sociologists and peel away the layers individually to see where the problems really lie and the solutions to fit social problems.  American sociologist C. Wright Mills came up with the term “sociological imagination.”(Kaiser pg 90) Mills was trying to say that in order for people to understand the world they need to peel away the layers of society, which means that people need to analyze a specific aspect of society in terms of all the...

I love education but I want to change the education system

Sarah Elgohary Professor Chris Niedt  Education inequalities final paper edited TO hand in on Monday Education is the most fundamental element in a modern and civilized society. There are many social inequalities in education systems of the United States and other countries around the world.  Race has an effect on many factors that have led to inequality in the education system, such as educational achievement, educational attainment, cultural values, social status, lack of school funding, and sexism. People do not look at all of the different elements that cause educational inequality in society.  Therefore, most people do not have the sociological imagination .This why they only look at the inequality in the education system through one aspect: the lack of school funding. C. Wright Mills developed the principle of “sociological imagination,” which states that in order to explain any single problem in society, people have to look at the problem from all aspect...
